An inside look at Ketshop

This month, we’ve been connecting with organizations that promote a more thoughtful approach to consumption. Minimalist parenting seeks to reduce the chaos – unloved toys, over-scheduled children, and other unnecessary complexities. You and your family can concentrate on what matters most, whatever that may be.

Kids (and adults!) are constantly tempted to buy more and engage less… and we’d like to fix that. Ketshop embraces simplicity by helping children to focus on a few important goals, rather than caving in to mass-consumption.

We’re developing new features that will make Ketshop a better tool for your family. Let us know what you’d like to see!

Which feature would be most valuable?

Fireworks are an iconic part of how we celebrate Independence Day. But last year, at least 9 people died, and an estimated 11,500 were injured due to accidents involving fireworks. In fact, injuries caused by fireworks increased by a whopping 25% in the U.S between 2006 and 2021.*

The Consumer Product Safety Commission created this entertaining (and mildly alarming) video where a bunch of dummies break the rules. Watch and learn from their mistakes!

71% of Americans supported abortion rights before the SCOTUS ruling. If you're part of the majority that believes in a woman's right to choose, there are several ways to become an advocate.

What’s the point of vaccination if there is a low risk of death?

Protection against COVID is imperfect, but it's extremely likely to lower infection severity even when kids do get sick. Long story short: vaccines won't eliminate risk, but they'll make COVID less awful.
